Step 10: Action Hour 1

Action Hour 1

In this step we are going to perform an action hour while following along with another coach who is providing tips on how to be the most effective!  The daily activity that you do in these action hours will make or break your business.  This is super important!

 

This video is an hour long, so please watch this when you have time to focus and take notes.  It’s that long because the intent is that you are doing your own action hour while watching this.  Make sure you have your Business Activity Tracker ready to go!

Notes and tips from the video

Heather sends out 250 invites/follow-ups per week!

  • She has that many people because she is adding a lot of value on social media every day and she invites anyone who engages with any of her posts and pics and anyone who watcher her stories.  She is also very strategic about adding followers that are in her target market.  If you want to grow big, you should implement this same approach in your own business!

Expand your network – 5 minutes

  • Find sites/pages/brands/friends/etc. that represent your target market and follow the people who are actively posting on those sites.

  • Quickly look at someone’s page before following them to make sure they are the type of person you are looking for!

  • Don’t follow more than 50 people in one hour, otherwise you may get sent to “Instagram Jail”.

  • Heather noted that she sometimes spends much more time adding followers outside of the action hour which is why this timeslot is only 5 minutes for her.

  • It’s important that the number of people following you is greater than the number of people you are following.

  • Heather mentioned a different training video from Sydney Thompson on growing your IG following.  You can find that video here if you are interested.

 

Invite from Likes – 10 minutes

  • Go to your posts and pics and invite anyone who has liked or commented.  It is critical that you are posting daily so that there is plenty of content for people to be engaging with.

  • Invite anyone who has liked your stuff.  If you have already invited them and they like again, then follow up with them.  Don’t overthink the inviting process.  It’s not about you, it’s about them!  You have an opportunity to share a gift that others need!

  • Use text replacement on your phone for these standard invites and follow-ups!  This will save you a ton of time. But be sure to make slight adjustments to it because Instagram will view this as spam if you are sending the exact same thing over and over again.

  • Write down everyone you invite!

Heather’s invitation script:

Hey girl (or their name), thank you for following along on my faith and fitness journey.  I wanted to see, if you are not already, if you would be interested in joining one of my challenge groups to grow in confidence and faith and get healthy from the inside out.  We’ll focus on nutrition, accountability, working out and support.  Let me know if you or anyone you know would be into it.  I’d love to have your positivity (or some other compliment) in the group.

Heather’s follow-up script:

Checking to see if you got my invitation above.  I don’t want to bug you I just want to thank you for your support and for following along in my journey.

Invite from Stories – 10 minutes

  • Go to your stories and invite anyone who has watched your stories.

  • Tip – you can add hashtags “under” the text on your stories.

 

Invite from new followers – 10 minutes

  • Go to your new followers and invite anyone who has recently followed you.

  • If you see someone who you think might be a good coach, you may want to invite them to the coach opportunity rather than the challenge group.

 

Do the 5:3:1 Connections – 10 minutes

  • This is for people that are watching you on IG and you have already invited them and followed-up with them and now you need to take your engagement with to the next level.  This is also for people you think would make a good coach, you want to invest more time and attention into those people!

  • Go and “Like” the last 5 photos posted to their account.

  • Leave a comment under their last 3 photos.

  • Make sure you write down who you have engaged with a 5:3:1

Following up – 5 minutes

  • This is where she focuses on people who have not yet responded from share-a-carts and emails because other follow-ups were included in her other previous steps.

Go do your own action hour!

Heather Shipley had some great things to teach us today.  Start implementing this type of approach to your own DAILY routine.  This is so important for the growth of your business!

When you are finished with all of these things, move on to the next step!
